We had a lovely stay at Arcadia whilst participating at Longleat Icons of the Sky.

The accommodation was comfortable and clean, with everything you'd need for a relaxing stay. Although we didn't spend much time at the house, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Bittersweet visit to Mere to inter my mum’s ashes …. Lovely to catch up with family and revisit the area though. The house is ideally situated, close to shops, pubs & restaurants & is the base for lovely walks.
Will definitely return in the future.

Delightful little cottage but with plenty of room inside and out. Great communications from owners. Clean and well catered for all our needs in a great location to visit surrounding tourist spots. Would not hesitate to use again in future visits. Thank you!

Lovely cottage, great location to visit Longleat and Stonehenge. Added bonus was the great food at the Walnut Tree Inn!

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was comfortable, tastefully decorated, and a lovely place to relax. The location was wonderful — peaceful and quiet, yet perfectly placed for enjoying the surrounding countryside and village atmosphere. It felt like an ideal base for unwinding and exploring the area, with everything feeling close by without being busy. We would happily stay here again.

Arcadia Cottage is the definition of 'hygge.' We spent most of our rainy weekend tucked away in the cosy lounge with the TV on,  curled up in front of the wood burner. It felt incredibly private and peaceful. We walked to the local pub (The Walnut Tree) both nights for dinner—the food was excellent and it’s only a two-minute stroll away. A perfect sanctuary for some much-needed R&R.

Great location! Our dog was warmly welcomed and received a wonderful welcome package with chew toys, a ball and treats.

Very pretty garden and cottage, immaculate with lovely touches such as the towels matched the bed colour, professionally written glossy welcome book, night lights, stylishly furnished and kitchen very easy to cook and eat in. Lovely big fridge freezer too and even a pair of wooden food tweezers to take the toast out of the toaster safely with. The host always responded immediately on email and the EV instructions were really easy to follow via text. The whole place smelt lovely too and first impressions were great. Beds are super comfy and there were fans provided for this hot weather. We couldn’t have asked for more to be honest. We will be back!

Just back from our weekend at Arcadia. Jen was very responsive and helpful in the run-up to our arrival. The cottage itself was wonderfully located a short walk from the village centre, where you will find several pubs, cafes, a co-op and a great deli. We loved the charm of Arcadia, beautifully restored and furnished. Everything you could possibly need was at hand...hairdryer, charging leads, detailed guest book and leaflets on the local area. We walked to The Walnut Tree for dinner, which was great. Super walks from the doorstep too. Would definitely recommend a stay. We will be back!

This cottage is in an excellent location just a few minutes from the A303, and a short walk to the village of Mere. It has a small garden too, ideal as a dog friendly holiday. We will definitely recommend Arcadia cottage to friends and family!

We had such a lovely long weekend in Mere seeing extended family. Arcadia really was the perfect base, a real home from home. The facilities were exactly as described, clean, and felt like a genuine home from home. The garden was lovely and exactly what we needed for two labradors. Great Airbnb, location was perfect with fields and rivers for dog walks right from the property. Highly recommended.

A very well-maintained and charming 2-bed cottage. The place was absolutely spotless and the kitchen was very well-equipped for cooking. We spent our days at Stourhead and Longleat, and coming back to light the log fire was the perfect end to the day. The garden is a real credit to the owners—a beautiful spot to relax in the evening. It’s a very quiet location, so we both slept like logs. Highly recommended for those who want a comfortable and accessible base in Wiltshire.

Our stay at Arcadia House was absolutely lovely, great property and has everything we could have needed. The beds were comfortable and linens clean and fresh. I would definitely book again. The house was within walking distance to local pub that serve a very nice meal and had live music. Overall had a great weekend. 😀

It is a lovely old cottage with plenty of character and all the modern facilities that we needed on the inside. The beds were very comfortable. It is in an excellent location - in a quiet village with a useful local supermarket and post office, close to the A303 so it’s easy to travel around. Jennifer was very helpful and responsive when we asked questions before our visit. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Really beautiful cottage, felt at home from the second I walked in. Well-stocked kitchen, comfy sofas, and nice-sized bedrooms. Ideal location; can walk to Mere center easily, and the local pub (The Walnut Tree Inn) is 2 minutes away and has the friendliest landlord, Will. The cottage is perfect for a dog-friendly break as the garden is totally secure and dog towels, bowls, and beds are all provided. I am already looking forward to my next stay at Jenifer and Frankie's place.

Arcadia is a homely, cosy & comfy cottage within easy reach of Stourhead N.T. and the surrounding beautiful countryside. There's a local handy village & friendly pub. Jen & Frankie respond asap if messaged & are very helpful. We would definitely return & recommend to friends.

We loved our stay at Arcadia! Having two proper bedrooms made it the ideal setup for a weekend away with friends. The highlight for us was definitely the garden. It’s a lovely, secluded sun trap where we had our coffee every morning. Everything in the cottage feels cosy and well-thought-out. Mere is a gorgeous village, and you’re only a short walk from the top of Castle Hill. Clean, comfortable, and very welcoming!
