A perfect cottage to stay when we visit family in the village. Thank you!

We loved our stay at Arcadia! Having two proper bedrooms made it the ideal setup for a weekend away with friends. The highlight for us was definitely the garden. It’s a lovely, secluded sun trap where we had our coffee every morning. Everything in the cottage feels cosy and well-thought-out. Mere is a gorgeous village, and you’re only a short walk from the top of Castle Hill. Clean, comfortable, and very welcoming!

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was comfortable, tastefully decorated, and a lovely place to relax. The location was wonderful — peaceful and quiet, yet perfectly placed for enjoying the surrounding countryside and village atmosphere. It felt like an ideal base for unwinding and exploring the area, with everything feeling close by without being busy. We would happily stay here again.

Arcadia Cottage is the definition of 'hygge.' We spent most of our rainy weekend tucked away in the cosy lounge with the TV on,  curled up in front of the wood burner. It felt incredibly private and peaceful. We walked to the local pub (The Walnut Tree) both nights for dinner—the food was excellent and it’s only a two-minute stroll away. A perfect sanctuary for some much-needed R&R.

A very well-maintained and charming 2-bed cottage. The place was absolutely spotless and the kitchen was very well-equipped for cooking. We spent our days at Stourhead and Longleat, and coming back to light the log fire was the perfect end to the day. The garden is a real credit to the owners—a beautiful spot to relax in the evening. It’s a very quiet location, so we both slept like logs. Highly recommended for those who want a comfortable and accessible base in Wiltshire.
