The Property

Tucked away in a quiet yet convenient location, our traditional double-fronted stone cottage offers the perfect escape for a relaxing holiday in the heart of Wiltshire.  The cottage combines traditional charm with modern comforts, making it ideal for couples, families or friends looking to unwind and explore.

Our dog-friendly holiday cottage, The Dog House, is located to the rear of Arcadia Cottage. Both are completely separate and private, but you might occasionally see a friendly hound or two on the neighbouring patio. We ask that you use the garden respectfully as we are likely to have guests at The Dog House during your stay.

When you enter Mere, head for Mill Lane (easily to find using Sat Nav), Edge Bridge. There is a terrace of three traditional cottages (the middle being Arcadia Cottage) with Mill Lane running to the left hand side.

Head down Mill Lane and second on the right you will find our driveway. Please park in the two allocated (left hand) spaces - you will need to park one car behind the other, as tight to the left hand fence as possible - to allow one car to park on the right for The Dog House.  Then just use the signposted gate to access Arcadia's garden and rear door. We also have a front door directly off Edge Bridge but given the proximity to the road we recommend using the back door instead.

Unfortunately, due to the age and quirky nature of Arcadia cottage, we have been unable to make the property fully accessible, including for wheelchairs. There is a small set of stairs in the garden and both bedrooms are located upstairs, up a steep set of stairs.

If you have any questions during your stay, then we are always available on the telephone to help. We also only live 5 minutes away in the next village, in case you need in person assistance.
